In 1996-1998, the Boulders Resort in Carefree, AZ. was the # 1 resort in the United States. Michael Dunham and I played jazz 5 nights a week. Michael Dunham recorded every night on a reel-to-reel tape recorder. After his passing in September of 2008, his brother Kelly found the tapes of those nights, which had been stored in Michael's garage for a decade, and went through the literally dozens of tapes. He and I have compiled 18 of the best of those recordings in this double CD, 'Michael & Michael Lost & Found' collection. These are not studio recorded; not polished with retakes, and not professionally mixed. What is here is raw live performances by excellant musicians on any given night. Michael Dunham's talent and musicality brought out the best in my playing. The rhythm sections were fine local Phoenix musicians. These are recordings of live musicians, playing from our soul..
