Includes the Grand Prize winning track from The John Lennon Songwriting Competition in The World Category- THE BRISS "Play A Little Prayer" is the latest CD from Montreal based composer, keyboardist and singer Joshua Lebofsky. As the title implies it is a collection of ten songs based on the theme of prayers. But don't expect solemn oaths and Amen choruses. It is a rich blend of world music influences, African and Oriental percussion, jazz harmony, some great multilingual singing, deep grooves and some killer soloing from some of Montreal's finest musicians. Sources include North and West Africa, Native American, Judeo-Christian, both sacred and secular influences.
