简介
Track 1 is a Christmas song for 1914, with references to the belief that the war would be over by Christmas ("Now that peace is near as we end the year") and to the Christmas truce (which sadly could have ended the war but wasn't allowed to). Track 2 is about the amazing Menin Gate memorial with the names on the wall of the fallen in the Ypres area who have no known grave. The song is directed at the "names on the wall" and in the bridge of the song the "names" answer back. Track 3 mentions some of the significant people from WW1 (General Haig, Kaiser Bill and Harry Patch the last of the Tommys from WW1). "Their living hell, who'd live to tell?, who'd survive?"
