简介
WAGMA is the translation of Wagma from the Pashto, the father's language of German-Afghan singer Simin Tander. The sound of this production can be described as mysterious, surprising, rhythmically varying, subtle and Tenderly beautiful but at the same time strong and very pointy. Wagma also is the theme song of this CD and used a very unique fantasy language. Simin Tander is fascinated by the freedom of connotation and expression that is created as soon as she starts singing without any lyrics. The words' creation arises with the moment. It consists of sounds and syllables and they are absolutely self-evident for the young singer. They form a language that only lives in the music itself. Even without a literal interpretation the words always have their emotional meaning. Other songs like becoming or closed eyes Simin Tander sings in English. But here as well a lot of her personality goes into these songs. Musically Simin sees her Roots in a jazz that has partly strong world music influences. Essential for Wagma is the improvisation, which the band kept up throughout the entire recording session. This way new ideas where created leading closer to the core of the already existing songs.
