Sometime in 1996, four young Guys got together. Which gave birth to a band called "KARMA" Karma: "We are out to prove a point, not to anybody just to ourselves.. we too exist". Sure we have different ways to expressing ourselves and the best way we can do that is through our music. Constant dedication is one of the attributes we possess. Two to three years of strong struggle had made our dreams turn into reality. Album "Sahar Timro" (1999) got us almost everything. Fame hit us hard. We were amateurs who'd just gotten inside the nepali music industry.. frankly we even didn't know what was going on. Cocky as age is.. we missed or kicked each and every opportunity that came our way; honestly. "KARMA" was on the verge of breaking. Anyways, we were just school students then, developing our music skills and learning day by day. Two of our members have to leave for further studies and it seems to be the end of "KARMA". Was "KARMA" to die?? We couldn't have to let it happen anyhow. We got 3 new guys to help us keeping "KARMA" alive. Then, things started to happen. We got to know more people and at that precise moment we realized the importance of our "NEPALI CULTURE". This culture thing got us lucky. We experimented on combining our music with our cultural music. This fusion created album "Hukka" which hit the streets with a bang, live concerts, countdown shows, radio and so on. We were having the time our lives.. things were superb. We were "high" by the attention we got. The press, media, friends, .... everything was happening all at once. we were living life in the fast lane. We were nominated for various awards. Commercially we were content.. this time we experimented on social causes. Here we discovered the other side of "KARMA". We know now the happiness one gets when one can be of help. Help to family, society or just plain simple help. FAME looked so faded from here. On 2003 3 guys left for personal reasons. As u know, Prashant has been with us from the beginning.. then arrived Basu. The 3 of us released "SMS" on 2004. By that time fame was in good terms with us and we were seeing times like never before... but we had to fill the empty spaces.. "KARMA" was incomplete.
