Charlie Cajares “El Abogado de la Salsa” or simply “Cajares” is a lawyer, composer, vocalist and a Colombian percussionist. He was born in Cali, Colombia, “the capital of salsa,” with great musical talent. He has been part of many well known musical bands such as: Las Estrellas de Niche, The Latin Brothers, and Orquesta La Fuga among others. Charlie has also composed songs that have been interpreted and recorded by many well known vocalist in the latin genre. Also, Charlie is also a professional percussionist who has developed a passion for the timbales along with his singing career. Today, he plays timbales with groups, bands and international artists in various genres such as: salsa, latin jazz, and latin pop. He also participates in recording and international tours with other musicians. Charlie Cajares is a young capable and creative musician with experienced, in presenting interesting live show where he easily establishes a direct connection with the entire audience. He demonstrates not only his vocalist capabilities, in addition to his smooth vocal presentation, his rythmic timbales are contagious. In his first solo musical production, Charlie is the executive musical co-sponsor. He is also the person responsible for fusing the mixture of great musicians, composers, and arrangers to complete this new recording “Demente.”
