He was a founder member of Bossa Rio with Sérgio Mendes, while his late 70s Capitol albums are jazz-funk classics that filled floors around the world. Colors, his first US album, is a fine example of 70s Brazilian jazz fusion. \rProduced by Airto Moreira, and featuring a star-studded line up of musicians including Cannonball Adderley, Jack De Johnette and Richard Davis, it blends straight jazz with the exotic rhythms of Brazil.
