2013 has been a good one for us at Soulsupplement Records and we're pretty sure "Trottin Ho" from Speakerpeeps will keep our momentum flowing just fine. "Trottin Ho" is a five track EP with remixes from Marc Fairfield, Fergus and Bruno Browning as well as a bonus track from the man himself Speakerpeeps. Don't mess about and sleep on this summertime floor crusher. Speakerpeeps gives us a taste of the good stuff with his original mix of "Trottin Ho" and it's obvious from the first few bars that this one's a wee bit different. Straightforward four on the floor rhythms, a nasty bass line and a ridiculous vocal just for good measure. Next on the docket is Marc Fairfield's Mile High Remix. Marc gives us the best of both worlds by adding the best bits from both Speakerpeeps originals. He starts with a four on the floor drum track and then adds a morphed out version of the original's Moog. Just for good measure he adds a few of his on parts with just the right amount of both vocals. As always our friend Marc delivers and delivers big. Our man Fergus continues his hot streak of remixes with his remix of "Trottin Ho". Fergus comes strong as always with his deceptively understated mix that will work in any situation, on any dance floor. A great drum track is combined with a wonderfully deep bass line that ties it all together. Perfect amounts of vocals, percussion and flavor makes this one just right. Bruno Browning comes in next with his Xtra Swag Mix of "Trottin Ho". Bruno's layered extra percussion throughout this one and the bass line speaks for itself. It's what he's done with the original's Moog however that will get your attention. Morphed to the point of breaking this thing is oh so nasty. It's so fly it comes with a stewardess. Rounding this floor filling ep out is Speakerpeep's "Slow Down Peeps" (Original Mix). Moody, driving and deep. Nothing more to say...take a listen and let us know what you think.
