Latin Grammy winner composer and producer Yalil Guerra presents the World Premiere performance and live recording of "Terra Ignota" (Unknown Land), performed by Ensamble Solistas de la Habana and conducted by Iván Valiente. The recording took place during the XVI edition of the Contemporary Music Festival in Havana city, Cuba, November 28th, 2013 at the San Francisco de Asis Church, "International Chamber Music Concert". About Ensamble Solistas de la Habana: In the year of 1998 and like part of the project REPSOL - YPF for the rescue of The musical legacy of America, the choir Exaudi recorded two CDs with Baroque music of the Peru and Bolivia together whit a group of instrumentalists of the highest category in our country. For this occasion this group of musicians was made call Instrumental Group of Soloists from the Havana. The idea came gestating since then and little by little they have had adding musicians in their majority youths, some Students and other newly graduated. This, together to the vast experience and the desire of the most experienced members to rescue the tradition of the Chamber music in all his formats, make what we know today like the Ensemble "Solistas de La Habana." The format of this group varies from the alone one, duet, trio, until the chamber orchestra. Among their objectives is the rescue and premiere of not very well-known works or never listened in our country. Responding to their multi-format characteristic, this group is qualified to perform every period and styles from the Baroque until the popular music of any tendency, thinking about a definitively contemporary aesthetics and in constant search. Among the personalities - soloists, composers and conductors - with those that the Ensemble "Solistas de La Habana" has collaborated; they are Leo Brower, Chucho Valdés, Frank Fernández, José María and Sergio Vitier, Alejandro Valdés, Carlos Fariñas, María Elena Mendiola, Elena Herrera, Enrique Pérez Mesa, Josi Fukumura, Sefika Kutluer, Jorge López Marín, Manuel Duchesne Cuzan, Iván del Prado, Kenneth Nafziger, Yoshikazu Fukumura, Ancient Music Ensemble "Ars Longa", Chamber Choir "Exaudi" among others. Principal Director of the Ensemble is the contrabassist Ivan Valiente who is the Director of the National Commission of Chamber Music.
