This marks the second album released by The Ascent. The Ascent is a church expressing the heart of Christ in the heart of the city of West Palm Beach, FL. Launching in the spring of 2005 with a few hundred college students, we have since become a diverse gathering of students, young adults and families who call the city home. The Ascent meets in The Harriet Himmel Theater, a 1925 restored church that is now used as a performing arts theater. As we come together each week to worship Him and study the scriptures, God continues to be faithful to draw us closer to Himself and closer to each other.

Each month we host a “Night of Worship” where we simply sing, pray, read scripture, share in communion and of course worship our God. This recording captured one of those nights in December, 2009. We honestly don’t believe that what the world needs most is another worship CD. However, we do know that as we worship Him in spirit and truth, He is glorified and we are satisfied. Our greatest desire is to see a generation of worshipers fully abandoned and seeking to know God and make Him known.
