Mor recreates a particular sensation nestled in my own nostalgia. The album incorporates various synth timbres that fill a sonic space over time, while occasionally leaving room for other sound elements. Inspired by artists like Boards of Canada, Deru, and 36, Mor aims to create a sense of aural warmth, normally attributed to Analogue based systems. This "warmth" heightens the albums investigation of personal nostalgia recreated through sound. Furthermore, the foundation of the pieces' melodic / chordal interactions and phrasing are a result of improvisational performance with some minute generative processing concepts. And so, Mor navigates the feeling of returning home, to a cozy place hidden in the past, that when returned, may not be as what was initially remembered.
