简介
This collection of pieces was recorded between December 25, 2006 and January 25, 2007 as an escape from taking care of dogs and doing dishes. Early in the process, I was compelled to play a silver Cornet that belonged to my father. I think he was speaking to me through this horn. It was as if the Cornet had a mind of its own (and most certainly personality), and as a result, about 90% of the brass tracks where created using this horn. The instrumentation for this project was kept fairly simple by intent, and consists of Cornet, Trumpet, Alto-sax, Piano, Bass Guitar, with the occasional splatter of Guitar and Synth here and there. The vocals on "bombonera" are by the lovely Verna Nigh. The drum parts are composed from royalty-free samples distributed by Computer Music Magazine and altered with effects, time stretching, and the addition of some sloppy cymbal parts in an effort to occasionally make them feel more human. The stickman project was created through improvisation, or "real-time composition" and many of the instrument tracks are first take recordings. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed creating, and thanks again for your support!
