'Somewhere Above Reason' is the culmination of a year of hard work and dedication by a young budding music producer from Barbados. Mosi or "Producer D" as he is called by friends and work mates alike is a self identified music freak who is absolutely crazy about all things music and audio related. Mosi got his introduction to music when at about the age of six his mother bought him a piano instead of the Playstation video game console he had really wanted. Needless to say when the highly anticipated day of arrival of the game console came, he was more than just a little surprised when a large truck turned up at the door with a creepy looking wooden structure as opposed to the desired sleek grey machine. For years since, there has been a love hate relationship between Mosi and the piano. It wasn't until he had made his first composition entitled 'China Song' at the age of eight that he realized the gift had been much more than a spoiled promise by a cheeky mother, but a valuable tool that would undoubtedly be the inspiration for the career of the years to come. Since 'China Song,' Mosi has always excelled in music; being in select music classes at high school and music tailored programs, all the while developing a keen sense in fine art and performing arts. Mosi was a long time member of his school's dramatic society and was the president of that group in his senior years. Play-writing opened up yet another world of the arts to him and led to experimentation with songwriting. It was clear that there was some magnetic pull to the arts the young man had but he was the last to realize this. Mosi was pursuing a career in science when it finally hit him. The call was just too deafening to ignore. He, a couple of friends and his father decided to construct a studio in the basement of his home at his mother's suggestion. What was originally supposed to be just a little space to write a couple ideas down became a full home recording facility outfitted with all the necessities for expressing the projects floating around in his head. Mosi was bitten by the bug that changed his entire life. In love with the art and armed with the passion and a curious mind Mosi created the mixed genre album Somewhere Above Reason; a collection of Pop, dance, electro and folk tracks. The boy who once hated the piano became a songwriter, producer and singer.
