Starting a new serie of riddim, Brooklyn-based Bent Backs Records worked with B-no (Upfull Posse) who created a minimalist roots riddim. In a will to let the new generation express their feelings about their vision the world, the label connected with three upcoming artists living in Brooklyn : Fari DiFuture & Autarchii (Howklear Movement) and JonnyGo Figure. On the A-Side, Shashamani Living gives an ode to the promised land, led by harmonious vocals from Fari and Autarchii. As much as this song connects with their hope of a better life, JonnyGo’s flip side is sticking to the reality he experiences everyday. To contrast even more with the previous song, Life Ina Brooklyn’s style of vocal is inspired by the 90’s when reality lyrics were held by DJs.
