简介
Super Stolie’s latest, Family in Harmony, visualizes the world through the eyes of a dreamer, embracing the beauty, rhythm and harmony that colors everything we see and do. With a intentional literary focus in the songs’ compositions, the album proves educational for children, as learning the words to these songs will not only infuse healthy concepts, but also encourage proper pronunciation and amplify articulation. Following her tot-friendly debut, When I Grow Up (2009) and the dancy-pop collection on Press Play! (2012), Family in Harmony takes a more relaxed approach, highlighting the multi-instrumentalist’s ability to find creativity in a more organic method of production. While armed with an acoustic guitar at her live shows, Stolie plays all the instruments you’ll hear on this album, including acoustic guitar, piano, ukulele, mandolin, melodica, harmonica, bass guitar, tambourine, shakers, xylophone, hand claps, lap pats, beatbox and a whole slew of intricate vocal harmonies. The collection of songs on Family in Harmony offer sweet and moral objectives. Whether the kids are floating with the current of “The River Down,” taking a lesson from the mischievous “Little Black Bear,” campaigning for all colors to be favored equally as a “Family in Harmony” or trying their own hand at “Rock Paper Scissors,” these 12 original songs will inspire a peaceful happiness to every moment of every day. The CD packaging will include fun facts about the songs, spelling bee challenges, questions to spark conversation and activities to try while listening to the music. At www.superstolie.com you can also find craft activities, videos and other fun things! This third family music CD from Super Stolie pulls inspiration from the 2015 iRead National summer library reading program, “Read to the Rhythm.” Throughout her impressive summer tour (see tour dates), Super Stolie’s musical show will focus on language, alliteration, pronunciation and rhyme. She’ll offer musical tongue twisters and poems, teach a song in sign language, another in Spanish and encourage the kids to sing the rainbow and spell it, too! As always, Super Stolie will perform her original music, showcasing tunes and dance moves to get bodies moving along with musical mouths. The shows will conclude with an “instrument petting zoo” to offer the children’s hands a chance to show off what they can do as well. On Family in Harmony, Super Stolie delights both parents and kids with a team of tunes to brighten any day, embracing the beauty, rhythm and harmony that exist in all that we see or do. If you can dream it, hope for it, believe it and love it, anything is possible.
