I remember in kindergarten something called "show & tell." You brought an item from home, stood in front of the class and explained what it was or how it worked. When it came my turn, I had nothing to show, but couldn't resist losing my chance to work the crowd. So I did what any 5-year old boy would do: I blew my nose into a hankie and made different noises with each blow. The class erupted...and clapped. It's a sound that never left my head. I wasn't the kind of kid who needed attention nor was I really the class clown. But I did take comfort in watching friends and family laugh, especially the ones who were in desperate need of a break from all that life had dumped on them. This CD is for: My parents, who taught me that laughing is normal - bitterness isn't. My dear wife, Saint Betsy who giggles at 90% of what comes out of my mouth. My kids, Alex and Hannah, who provided a hunk of material when they were teenagers. My childhood church, East State Street Church of God, where I discovered God created humor. Finally, my good friends at New Missions. I am thankful they believe in clean comedy and are helping people in parts of the world whom others have forgotten. I hope to see you at one of my shows, so I can hear your story.
