One of UAE's best loved club brands, 'MustHaveSoul', are set to re-launch with their own record label this Winter, kicking off the party with Eugene Glasgow's ace two tracker 'Someday EP'. 'Someday' is a cool and sophisticated old school flavoured slab of House Music laced with jacking beats and cool vocal loops that dance around an infectious hook backed with a deep bass rumble. 'I'll Do Anything' comes with a classy deep vibe touched with jazzy undercurrents as it's Leftfield keys trip though a platter of sublime beats and mesmerising drops, all pinned together by an uber spoken word - rounding off a quality debut for this brand new imprint! UK South Coast based Producer / DJ Eugene Glasgow (who also records under Juan Zero and Southside Son guises) was influenced from an early age by his parents love of Soul and Folk music, along with many cassette compilations of the 80's that introduced him to the early electronic sounds of House and Techno. Eugene started his production career by making Drum 'N' Bass in the early 90' under the name Retro. Having a love for the early sounds of House and Techno; such as seminal dance classics 'Voodoo Ray' and 'Strings Of Life', by the mid-Nineties Eugene naturally progressed to playing and producing House Music. Later a remix for BMG followed for Grand Popo Football Club and is also releasing an EP under the name Juan Zero on Broadcite Music. 'Its great to be releasing this EP as MustHaveSouls debut release, they have much respect for the music, history and the people involved.' - Eugene Glasgow Created as a party back in 2009 by Simon Reid and Paul Sumner to cater for the lack of good soulful dance music in the Middle East, MustHaveSoul went on to dominate the club scene in the UAE until 2013. Being nominated 3 times for the coveted Timeout Nightlife award for 'Best House Music Night'. After quitting the club scene in the UAE the night was adopted by world renowned clubbing brand Pacha in it's Mallorca branch, where it held residency for two summers, bringing the very best in DJ talent every week. December 2015 see's the brand being reborn as a record label with original founder Simon Reid, alongside regular DJ Cohort and long time friend Tom Chubb. The aim: To release music made with the same ethos that it was played in the clubs at our nights music made with Soul. Focusing strongly on releasing great music for people to listen to, dance to and enjoy.
