The first track, "Florida Christmas", starts the celebration off reggae style, with a bouncing groove that will have you swaying to the beat and trading your eggnog for a margarita. "Snow," the only instrumental track, is as rare and memorable as the Christmas Eve of 1989, when it snowed in Florida for the first time in many decades. "Blue Christmas" is a gritty explosion of electric guitar, sure to light up the tree. "Leave the Lights On" and "Love Come Home" both switch up the groove with a pop-rock style that really displays Blue's guitar wizardry and Red's impeccable rhythm, which is quite prevalent throughout the album's collection of charming holiday songs. Having been charmed with each other from the moment they met, Red and Blue combined their love for each other with their love for creating music. Florida Christmas originated years ago when the two had little money for Christmas shopping and decided to compose and record songs for their family. Having dedicated all free time to the release of the album, production was at a stand-still just weeks before the final product was scheduled for duplication. With the recent hurricane disasters, Red and Blue were almost forced to put off the much anticipated album due to several evacuations, but they refused to allow Charlie, Frances, Ivan, or Jeanne to ruin their efforts. Having gone through personal and natural disaster, the triumphant result is the celebration of sweet holiday music. Florida Christmas is stuffed with untraditional and endearing songs perfect for the season.
