简介
Rorie Kelly has been making music since her teenage years and was strongly influenced by the tell-all, stream-of-consciousness songwriting style of the 90s. "Growing up I was listening to Liz Phair, Alanis Morisette, and Ben Folds Five alongside Joni Mitchell and the Beatles," she says. "That's where my foundation comes from as a musician." Over the years, Rorie has been compared to Janis Joplin and Alanis Morisette for her powerhouse vocals, and Joni Mitchell and Sarah Bareilles for her catchy-confessional brand of songwriting. Sincerely Live follows up Rorie's debut album, Wish Upon a Bottlecap, which received airplay around the US. It features fan favorites as well as many new songs, demonstrating both the singer's formidable songwriting chops, and her larger-than-life performing ability. It was recorded at the Patchogue Theatre's "Live in the Lobby" series by Paradiddle Records and the Patchogue Theatre volunteer crew. Live in the Lobby is a music series that focuses exclusively on local and original music, performed in the spacious lobby of the historic Patchogue Theatre. Run entirely by volunteers who put together a top-notch, professional production, this series has become a cornerstone of Patchogue's burgeoning local music scene.
