For a brief time, decades before Karaoke, we enjoyed the experience of going out, eating pizza and singing the good old songs with a room full of strangers of all ages and having fun – together. Shakey’s opened on the West coast, Your Father’s Mustache on the East with Red Garters, Village Inns and countless similar operations in between. At home we “sang along with Mitch” and tuned in to join the fun going on at “Mickey Finn’s” in San Diego. With this album, Ray and Rob lovingly tip their hats to those great years of pianos, banjos and good old songs. So, invite some friends over, order some pizza and let’s sing.
