Stepping off the reckless and brazen road they paved with “Hold My Beer...” the Crofters cast a mature eye towards the horizon with “It Was Easier When We Were Kids.” People who bought “Hold My Beer...” had this to say: The CD kicked a**!!! Reviewer: Ashley Kenny This CD rocked! The music can go from upbeat to slow and each song has something amazing to offer. From the bagpipes to tin whistle and vocals - everything is amazing! Great upbeat music. It's sparked a new interest in celtic rock for me. Reviewer: guy from Delaware I just found this CD while browsing the I-Tunes music store, and it's sparked a new-found interest in celtic rock for me. I've never been exposed to this kind of music before, but it really is good, or at least these guys make it good. Their rendition of "Scotland the Brave" is absolutely out of control, and the rest of the CD is very good also. I would love to hear them live sometime. "Crank" up the volume & ENJOY! This 50something fan sure did! Reviewer: Bonny MacLeod Reed Superb blend of traditional and now generation music that will appeal to and delight audiences of all ages. Innovative arrangements for traditional favorites of Scotland The Brave and Will Ye Go Lassie Go are amazing and the fresh and inspired lyrics of I Met My Father speak to us all. The fresh arrangements of the traditional tunes are a must listen to, and the original songs will keep you craving more from this group in the future. This cd dishes out a savory celtic fix! A must have!! A Nice Find Reviewer: Brian Gillespie The Crofters: Hold My Beer While I Kiss Your Girlfriend... Cocky young bunch of buggers, judging them by the title of their CD. They have a right to be cocky, judging them by their music. This is a nice find ? actually, they found me, never heard of The Crofters, till this puppy dropped through my mail box. The average age of this band is only 23, but these young Scottish-Canadians have tons of experience ? former members of the Glengarry Bhoys, playing and touring with The Mahones and The Woods Band most recently. The Woods Band is a good comparison, and actually I first heard ?Hold My Beer?? the same day as I heard The Woods Band debut and at points the CD?s are perfectly complementary. Like the Woods Band, The Crofters present us with a nice mix of originals and traditional standards, given a high energy Celtic rock treatment. Though this time with a Scottish bent (?Scotch Rock? they call it)? Check out, ?Scotland the Brave?, I haven?t heard this much Scottish passion since Scotland beat England 2-1 at Wembley in ?77. Cheeks buggers indeed.
