简介
Matt Lorentzen has spent his life performing, writing, and recording music. He graduated with a Bachelor of music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, in Australia, where he majored in voice. His first release was a collaboration with trance duo “Lost Knowledge”. Their cover of Richard Marx’s “Hazard” very quickly became a favourite by DJ’s around Australia and the UK and was released on the compilation albums Mad About the Boy - Volume 14 and Ruby Trance - Volume 4. Soon after Matt produced and his own remix of Olivia Newton-John’s “Magic” which was released by Klone Records UK. In late 2006 Matt moved from Sydney to London. His next collaboration was with Twisted Dee, Alan X, Sordid Soundz, and Dany Wild to produce "Claim the night" which spread infectiously across dance-floors in Europe, Australia and North America, through the summer of 2008. The track reached the number 8 position in the Swiss charts on the album "Ugly House Gold 2008" and remained in the top 25 for 8 weeks. This song is now available from all the major dance download sites. In November 2008 Matt released the rock ballad "Angels are watching me". This song marked a changed direction in his recording career where Matt returned to his soulful roots. It was written in memory of his mother Mary, who died of cancer in 1987. Some of the download profits will be donated to cancer charities. The video clip to this song can be found on youtube. Matt is currently involved in several new recording projects. His latest song "Garden of Eden" is being remixed around the globe and will be available for release in April 2009. Look Matt up on Myspace to keep in touch with future releases and performance dates.
