简介

As the 7th child of 8, often being overlooked; Kristastrophe found a way to shine bright as the sun and express the fire burning within into 14 tracks. Raised in the early 90s, in a household where the oldest and youngest child are 2 decades apart, he was exposed to the art of music in all genres. With all there was to influence a young boy, hiphop was one that he never grew tired of. A way of life that was being lived everyday without having the slightest idea of what he was a part of. What started as a boy admiring his older brothers while they break danced with future LA Breakers in his backyard, turned into an appreciation of the art form that taught so much. With age, this young B-boy became a poet, conveying thoughts and feelings into rhyming stanzas that he hoped could turn into music, but were barely developing. Development inspired by an older brother who was on his way to deciding that music would be his full-time job. The first time he saw his older brother perform, was a moment he wanted to relive over and over. This led to a younger brother asking the older brother for his own "rap name" (which has now become an identity). The age difference between the two brothers is what kept them apart. One could say that the younger of the two was not yet ready. Admiring from a distance soon became admittance into studio sessions, rehearsals, performances. This sparked the flame that made Kristastrophe think to himself, "Hey I can see myself doing this." 3 mixtapes, 2 EPs, various performances and a lot of "do it agains" later, Kristastrophe prepares himself to embark on a new platform, his first full-length LP. The 7th SOL is the embodiment of an idea that through all darkness and negativity created to surround us, the light from the sun/son/sol can shine through all of it and overcome it with brightness and clarity. The album features production from DJ Dubb One, Donel Smokes, Dodger Blue, Laboratory Instrumentals, Foxworthy, Sirk One, Shovel&Hammer, Angel Lomeli (younger brother), Joe Grizzly, and Kristastrophe himself. Along with features from older brother King Darius, Mr. Sag N My Jeans, MC Rey III, Dodger Blue, A.O.D, Mescalito, Need A Fix?, Killa Teck and skits by Mikeez and Dreco GremGoyle. Fully mixed by Kristastrophe and King Darius. Mastered completely by MiHKiL Zumweffi. Let Kristastrophe guide you through the mind of a "madman rambling" through HipHop. Learn of his past, dreams, present, passion, and future. Special thanks to my mother for supporting me in everything I do and for just being the best mother you could be. I love you with all my heart. Same goes for all my brothers and sisters, and all of my family. Thanks for all the support, even when I'm messing up. I love you all! Another special thanks to my big brother Dario for seeing something in me before I could even open my eyes. I wouldn't have even had the courage to try creating my own music if it hadn't been for the guidance I received from you. Shout out and thanks going to all my producers for allowing me to express myself all over your beats. I'm privileged and honored to have been able to work with you all. My lil bro Angel for rocking the drums and coming with a killer riff on the spot. My primo Dodger Blue for letting me grift you for 2 mega firme beats. The big homie DJ Dubb One for allowing me to rock one of his beats, it's a blessing. The other little big homie Joe Grizzly for the hours of forced beat boxing. The homie Foxworthy for challenging me with such a d**e beat. Fellow HNDPer Sirk One for a d**e sample-free banger. The big homie Jacc Spade aka Donel Smokes for an outro that I instantly knew I wanted to write to. 1 of DOS Guys, John Henry for both the beats allowing me to speak of my culture. The new homie BONI for shooting three banging bassed-out-the-game Lalalaboratory beats. And last but not least the homie Skribe One for providing the congas on my dedication beat. I wanted bangers and thats what I got. Next thanks goes to all my features. My big bro King Darius for murking 3 tracks, letting me use his m-box, and having the patience to mix the whole album. AOD for letting me use his monitors for the mixing and mastering phases of my project and providing the beat that started the album off. My mentor Mr. Sag N My jeans for leading me, letting me use his mic, providing one of my beats, and being BLUNTED on 3 tracks. Primo Doyer for letting me grift some more features off you ha. MC Rey 3 for dee oreeegeeenaaal hiphop verse, the scratching and letting me use your place for the mastering. The homie Need A Fix? for the chaotic verse and the dopest guitar solo I've ever had the privilege to record. The homie Mescal for rocking a "crunk" beat. The homie Killa Teck for coming through with that killa on such short notice. The homie Mike aka M Dot for murking all the skits. And the homie Dreco GremGoyle for keeping it organized. And you know we can't forget, its MiHKiL! Thank you for taking the adventure with me & mastering my project. It definitely would not have sounded the same without that super engineer touch. And last a special thanks to all the supporters and fans. My words would mean nothing if there were no ears to listen. I love you all. It's been 25 years in the making, so prepare yourself for Kristastrophe's The 7th SOL.
