Alma Lake is a Colombian-American vocalist-songwriter, record producer, music video director from Los Angeles who channels influences from Etta James and Janis Joplin into fiery contemporary motifs. The young artist displays a fierce intensity that reflects her music. Alma has already made her artistic presence felt in Los Angeles. Alma was recently interviewed and performed on Kaotic Radio Station (satellite) and Long Beach City College TV Station. 2017 magazine features include Saron Magazine and Feminist Voice. She won two scholarships to Musicians Institute and first place in the L.A. Voice vocal competition. She has been recognized by Music Connection Magazine as a "Hot 100 New Unsigned Artist" for 2016 and has been highlighted by World Arts as a Spotlight Artist. Alma Lake has proved that her voice is heard and she is here to stay. She has performed at SoCal venues in her adopted Hollywood hometown, becoming part of a vibrant creative community. As reviewed in the May 2017 Music Connection live reporter Brooke Trout says, “The singer really took time to connect with the crowd as she worked the stage and danced...once Alma Lake starts jazz scatting.... Her love for the 60’s is apparent not only form her hairstyle but from her peace symbol earrings, big circular glasses during her original song “Summer.” "Bringing Musical healing is what I aspire to do the most and inspire crowds to let go. Knowing that music can change your mood and make you forget the world is what's all about," says Alma about performing live. Her debut single, “Summer," "I Won't," and her latest single "Sun Don't Shine" from her debut EP are now available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Tidal and all streaming services. Alma is currently writing and producing her debut single to be released this Fall 2017.
