简介
Chyrell's music tastes and style ranges from musical theatre to pop and love ballads. The original music she performs are in many cases, a collaboration between herself and her husband, Rodney Ronquillo, who is a songwriter, composer, arranger, producer and singer himself as well. Working with her husband has opened her voice to new avenues of expression. What once was an artist for musical theatre, she now branches out into experimental pop ideas that create a fusion of Max Martin, Katy Perry, as well as other influences such as Twila Paris (Christian musician), David Foster, and even to a degree of film music composition that feature lush symphony orchestration. In a couple of songs, she sings two romantic duets with her husband Rodney, while in another song called "True Friend", which was featured in an album called "Ascension", she pairs up with Sally Hines Duo as her duet partner, along with Toronto Jazz and Christian guitarist Onofrio Virdo. The song is all about two friends who say goodbye to a friend who has passed away and ascended to heaven. Two songs that feature lush and very moving orchestrations are "Let it Begin" and "Angel's Lullabye", a song that she originally collaborated with her cousin, Sherr Marie Altamirano Diaz. Upbeat songs such as "I feel fine", "Theatre in your mind" and "Keep Going" are positive songs that are built to move and motivate, while keeping focused on your dreams and goals. Musical songs such as "Completely Changed" showcases Chyrell's musical voice and expression of emotion, given to the song's story. "The Love I've Searched for Long" and "Diamonds and Destiny" are two songs of testimony for the love for each other. "The Love I've Searched for Long" was written originally for two friends wedding, while "Diamonds and Destiny" was written for her wedding to Rodney Ronquillo. Another song called "Secondiary" was an original song that, originally, was a piece that Chyrell wrote for her graduation. It was later translated into a musical choral piece that Rodney helped update.
