Leonine began as two best friends jamming in a cabin in the mountains. Layering dreamy vocals over acoustic string instruments, Leonine has an earthy and harmonious vibe; simple expression, repetition, and minimal use of lyric are key elements of their musical style. Writing and releasing at their own pace, all of Leonine's music is recorded and produced independently. This duo is comprised of songwriters Whittney Mikkél (vocals/percussion) and Lisette Zamora (guitar/vocals) and features Chris McCarthy on cello. "Patience" is the first single off Leonine's album Matters of the Heart.
