简介
Chicago songwriter Tom Dundee began his career in Corrales, New Mexico in 1969. A year later he became a principal member of the Chicago folk scene that spawned such performers as John Prine, Steve Goodman, and Bonnie Koloc. In the 80's, Tom performed throughout the Seattle Music Scene and in the 90's recorded out of Nashville, Tennessee. Composer of over 300 songs, he has recorded with such notables as Timothy B. Schmidt, Stephanie Davis, Rita Coolidge and Paul Barrere. He has shared stages with the likes of Doc Watson, Taj Mahal, Tom Paxton, Jerry Jeff Walker, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, Dave Van Ronk, Chi Coltrane, John Prine, Steve Goodman, Ritchie Havens and Townes Van Zandt. In concert, Dundee delighted in taking chances with his audience, letting the spontaneity of the moment shape the personality of his show every time out. As a result, each of his concerts came across fresh, seemingly tailor-crafted to the particular crowd on hand. He joked with his audience, drew them out of themselves with his music, wove stories in and out of his songs; and always at the base of his act was his outstanding repertoire of original material: beautifully crafted ballads, sensitive introspective, humorous and up-tempo songs, and out-and-out rockin' rollers. The late Tom Dundee recorded 6 albums: A Delicate Balance, Right Lane Man, Roadmap, Rough Around the Edge, Lyfe Tyme Arhyme and Tom Dundee.
