OutLoud is the brand new EP from Dallas, Texas-based acoustic duo Ally & Chris. It features four of the most popular tracks from their live shows, including the haunting ballads "Remember Me" & "All I Need", which call to mind the Civil Wars & Bon Iver with their flowing acoustics, cello & stirring, evocative vocals; "Lovin' Her", a rock-tinged song painted by driving instrumentation that wouldn't sound out of place on the pop charts; and a cover of "Sunday Morning" that reinvents the song with an upbeat funky groove like classic 1960s southern soul.

The two were approached by producer Anthony Celia to record the EP after he heard a copy of the duo's demos they had left at a Frisco coffeehouse following a gig there. Celia could see the great potential of the their songwriting and musicianship, though the quality of those recordings themselves left much to be desired ("lo-fi" would seem an understatement for the one-take demos, recorded with the freeware Audacity program & $20 microphone from Best Buy). Over several weeks in September, the three worked together to record the four songs and give them a fuller & more professional sound to expand on the special musical chemistry Ally and Chris have together. The duo now looks to build on their strong online presence & loyal local following by beginning to tour this winter/spring in support of the EP.
