简介
Written in 2009 and released in 2010, "Nostalgic Reflections" is Plex Long's fourth and final album to date. (As of Feb 2012) The theme of this album is based in the past, but it still has a way of opening doors to the future. Vivid lyrics on storytelling songs like "Dark Shades" (produced by Charlie P) and "Amor" (produced by Hollywood) teach the listener lessons of the pitfalls that can come from associating with the wrong people, in a life of crime or in romantic relationships, respectively. While melodic smooth jams like "Words" (produced by Beggan Brothers Productions), "It Was All A Dream" (produced by Charlie P) and "Get Away" (produced by Charlie P) use lessons from the past to create a vision of how to navigate through the future. This album is very raw and emotional at times on songs like "You Don't Care" (produced by Charlie P) and "Me" (Produced by Beggan Brothers Productions), which serve as a nice contrast to the mellow thought provoking lyrics on tracks like "Valley Of The Beast" (Produced by Storm 9000) and "Premiere" (produced by Hollywood). "Nostalgic Reflections" is headphone music, for the analytical listener, not trunk music for bass blasting head nodders. Not many 808s, but you will find live bass guitars, acoustic guitars, singing hooks and soulful tracks to uplift the spirit. If you have listened to Plex's previous three albums, this one will feel very familiar, as it is the first one that has combined the strongest elements of each album that proceeded it. So... sit back, turn the volume up and take time to reflect on this nostalgic journey with Plex.
