Listener Opinion This has got to be the smoothest single CD releases that I have heard in a very long time. It has class with a touch of sass. If you like upbeat rhythm and blues in Rapp style that you can groove and dance to, then you have found a terrific song with four different cuts on a single CD. In a word it's HOT !!! It has a very smooth and sensual R & B tempo and is very appealing. More Listener comments: I dig the very low vocoder type vocal Won't Wait is a very strong track. Production and performances are pro all around. Solid arrangement and good use of the various contrasting vocals styles. Submit this for "master quality" listings at Taxi for film and TV use, as well for artist / band pitches for Hip Hop / Rap record company listings. Good job. Billboard rating 8.5 ======= The Artists Sketches: Kali Tazz, Joyce Isles, Derrick Brackins === Kali Tazz === Through the years there has been one thing that I was dedicated to, and that was to become a musician. The reason for this is because of people like Teddy Pendergrass, the O'Jays, the Isley Brothers, Marvin Gay, early Whitney Houston and others. Other influences have been Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Sade, James brown and B.B. King. Stars like Bone Thugs in Harmony, N.W.A., Tupac Shakur, Notorius B.I.G., and the Tribe Called Quest have shaped my rap influences. Listening to these talented artists inspired me to believe that anything is possible when it comes to music. It also made me believe that if it is music that I wanted to become successful in, then be dedicated to it and do it to the best of my ability. Even though it may take weeks, months or even years to become an artist that everyone knows, I will strive for it until I have reached my goals. === Octavia "Joyce" Isles === My early influences were Gladys Knight, Billie Holiday, Chaka Khan, and Eddie Levert of the O'Jays. I was born and raised in Canton, Ohio, home of the mighty O'Jays. My eldest brother, Bill Isles, was one of the original members of the O'Jays. Therefore, I was exposed first hand to good soul singing. I received professional voice instruction from El Camino College and personal training from the renowned Beau Williams. I sang professionally since I was 16. My professional appearances include the Dramatics Concert (Canton, Ohio), Isabel Sanford "Weezy" Talent / Fashion Review (Los Angeles, CA), The Gong Show (Hollywood, CA), And Case Logic jingles (Huntington beach, CA) among many others. === Derrick Brackins === My early musical influences were Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Boyz-2-Men and Mint Condition. I was born on the south side of Chicago May 12, 1971. I wanted to sing and dance for as long as I can remember. I was 8 when I realized that entertaining was what I wanted to do. I was always singing and performing for my friends and family. I liked to imitate Michael Jackson and break dance in competitions in my neighborhood. My Mom gave me my religious influence and when I was 14, I started singing in the choir in the apostolic church. Singing in church was where I learned to feel what I was singing; I mean "deep down inside" singing for the Lord. When I became 16, I started performing in local talent shows. Many people told me I needed to be singing on the "Soul Train" television show. From that point on I knew that was the direction I was heading, so I moved to California to start my singing career. =======
