Contradictions and clashes abound in the world of FEMME. Although the hot electro-glam-rock duo are quite in touch with their feminine side; half brothers Julien, and the dark dandy demeanor of Sidney, FEMME are definitetly not ladies. The music of FEMME is a dark, romantic, twisted dancefloor vortex, where Nine Inch Nails and N-Sync get it on and spawn a wild and fresh electro, rock infused jam. About a year ago the buzz for FEMME rose on the street and in the blogoshere after their first live gigs, and their stars now shine even more brightly with the release of their first EP «Bathtub Clash» on the influential Saboteur stable. The EP countains two original FEMME tracks «Bathtub Clash» and «Crimes and Nightcalls» plus the remix work of New-York rising star COSMO, and the equally great reworks by newcommers Rawalpindi and CFCF. «Bathtub Clash» is the first step in FEMME' mission to rule the world with their personal take on the eighties coldwave The addition of a live drummer and really special guest appearances in their live sets, and their barely hidden fetish for pop starlets, make of FEMME a great and original new face in the world of by numbers high sheen pop bands, filling the airwaves. FEMME are currently honing their art with live sets in the US and Canada, and are in the process of recording their first full album, set for release in early 2009 on Saboteur.
