简介
Music moves the world. Music also reflects social realities and has an influence on them. There is no social movement without music. Musicians like Bob Marley or Manu Chao impart values that serve many social movements as a basis of identification. The music of these two artists contains a message. They used and in the latter case still use music as a means of spreading their ideas of peace and justice all over the world. And so does N.R.G. Vibes Marcus, a man from the Ostalb, a region in the south of Germany, who now lives in Berlin. Marcus was born in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1977. Because of his father´s profession he soon ended up abroad. He grew up in Peru and later lived in Spain.Musical pre-education (he learned to play the organ and the guitar) was something he has been profiting from. Marcus founded his own reggaelatino band, N.R.G. Vibes, in the south of Germany in 1997.Appearances on TV and tours through Germany and Spain followed. He has released several records, including “Rebelde de Corazon” and “N.R.G. Vibes Marcus”. His newest release is called “Reggae Latino” (MKZWO Records). Marcus uses his music to spread his belief/ faith in peace, in human unity and in tolerance. He describes his musical style as European latinoreggae, a fusion of reggae, latin music and European elements. The singer Marcus works together with musicians from all over the world, they come from Columbia, Surinam, Germany, The Cape Verde Islands, Argentina, Jamaica, Ghana, Cuba ... The singing is as international as the band is. There are lyrics in German, Spanish and English, the music is guaranteed to be danceable and is characterized by catchy melodies. The rhythmgroup drums and bass drives on the energetic beat, the organ´s bubbling melody lines and the sharp chords of the guitar ensure the “original feeling”. Reggaelatino music - an authentic experience of music, characterized by the musicians´ personalities and by the energy that links audience and band.
