简介
Do you like old cars in general? Do you like Studebakers? Have you been waiting for years for some new "car songs"? If so, this is the album for you, as is the sequel, "Studebakin", which is also available on CD Baby. The songs are fresh, creative, catchy and professionally recorded. Many copies of this album have been sold to DJ's who provide music for car show events as well as folks who want good car music. The songs are written and performed by The Calhouns. The Calhouns have been members on The Studebaker Drivers Club for over 15 years and drive nothing but Studebakers. They tour all over North America performing over 200 shows per year and every mile of every gig in done in a Studebaker, so the Calhouns are the real deal! Please visit their website, and when you do, check out their Studebaker Truck Stage, it is awesome! Now the songs: 1: "Drivin' Down The Hi-Line" a fast paced tune about bending a few speed laws on a two lane country highway. 2: "Everybody's Uncle Used to Have One" is inspired by the fact that every time we get gas, someone will come up and tell us about their uncle and his Studebaker, and they never remember quite right! 3: "Avanti Bill" is a good retro song in the style of the 1960's and is about the famous Studebaker Avanti! 4: "Studebaker Rebel" is a good retro rock song that is a good toe tapper. 5: "First By Far" is a tribute to the 1947 Studebakers who set the automotive styling for the entire industry for the next 5-6 years. 6: "What Kind of Picker Are You" is a funny, witty song, actually quite stupid! 7: "Studie In The Weeds" Too true, very funny song that has a fun twist ending. This is a C.W. McCall (remember him?)style story song. 8: "Multiply" This is another extremely funny song about how every Stude owner seems to acquire more and more and more cars..... 9: "South Bend, Indiana" is a serious tribute to the city that gave us our favorite make of automobile! 10: "No Sir It's Not a Rambler" Don't YOU get tired of correcting all of the well meaning folks that ask you what year of Rambler you are driving! Thank you for visiting our CD Baby page!
