Ascension's(aka ace)resume speaks for itself, once in the group Meda4 (98-02), and most recently Fear (03-04, which is also available on CDBABY) This album is not a remake but an actual sequel to Ascension's 2001 album entitled "Elevation" , he felt the title was still necessary as he had truly grown as an artist in that 5-year time span. Aesthetically , the album plays like a modern-day 'rock opera' in that it starts and ends with a smiliar theme, but is based off the artists real life, as opposed to characters. Regardless, from beginning to end there are tracks that will appeal to the mainstream hip-hop fan, while more will get the head nodding of even the most hard core underground critic. Elevation (2006) is the culmination of almost 2 years of work, and is the first solo album From Ascension since the little circulated 'Drink From the Chalice LP' which was distributed mostly in the underground in early 04-05. This album also represents the first studio album as a solo artist for Ascension
