Versus is the new Ep from the upcoming Italian emcee Walla, produced by 90 Records Ltd and S90F Creative Group. “Versus” is made up from 5 main tracks and a bonus track. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in Genova, London and Bogota. The Ep is expected to be release by the end of summer 2014. Its first track “Nuova Vita” will be released by middle of August and the second track “Zanna Bianca” it´ll be drop just right before the grand release. On “Versus” the importance was to maintain the connection with the classic rap and a full-of-substance lyrical content, perfectly seen on artists such as Guru from Gang Starr or KRS-One, for instance. The idea was to detach a little bit from what the main stream of the italian rap scene is currently doing. However all the 6 tracks comprises on “Versus” are crafted with rhythm, catchy hooks and the lyrical skills that one can expect from rap music. Why do exactly the same when one can be creative too? The word versus has two meanings: the english meaning of the word which is “Against”, and the latin origin that means “Towards”. Thus the Ep was called “Versus”, as it captures exactly how could be the path of an individual. We all fight against things in order to reach other things. So here the title refers to “fight” against fears, lies or problems of any sort. To find purpose must be the most important in live, even if you don’t believe it, so that´s all about. “Versus” is not only a good piece of music and lyrics, it´s also a message and a gift to all those waiting for something special definitely rich in substance.
