Good Voodoo Music presents the third release from label's newest artist. The Tru Roots Project. Their sound is drawn from a diverse range of influences across the globe that stretches beyond house music and frequently brings in Latin jazz, electro, hip-hop and middle eastern music. Recording and composing in places as diverse as New York USA, UK, Brazil, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Cuba and the British Virgin Islands. The first track, Ekaabo (meaning welcome in Nigeria) is an afro house percussive masterpiece featuring the beguiling voice of Akin Fatunmbi whose guitar playing has featured on many of the previous Good Voodoo Releases. Soweto Groove is the version of the track they collaborated with Domineeky on. This time the Tru Roots Project version is a much deeper jazzier affair and is receiving a lot of support from many DJs including Vinny Da Vinci (House Afrika) Finally, the track Relentless shows off the electronic dubbier side of the group.
