Trigger Happy is: Craig Cessna - Guitar and Lead Vocals From the day Craig first heard Jimmy Page on Led Zeppelin IV, he knew that his life would be about ROCK N' ROLL. Bands such as Van Halen, AC/DC and Aerosmith influenced Craig's hard rock playing style. He's been in several original bands in Seattle and LA, including Daily Jones where he first worked with bassist Ron Haworth. Over the years, Craig has collaborated with a number of talented musicians to create the songs featured on Trigger Happy's self-titled debut and this is his first time serving as the lead vocalist. If you listen to the lyrics of 'Lectric Dream, you'll know that Craig's dream is to be on the stage and under the lights playing music for our audience. Jeff Brandli - Drums and Backing Vocals Jeff realized early in his music career that girls like drummers, not trombone players. So he ditched the horn and scraped up enough cash to buy a used kit and pay for lessons. Jeff studied drummers like John Bonham, Alex Van Halen and Neil Peart in order to replicate their straight-ahead, hard-hitting playing styles. Ask anyone that has played music with Jeff and they'll all tell you, "Damn that guy is loud!" Jeff played in a Seattle area cover band for years, but always wanted to partner up with a singer/songwriter to work on an original project. A mutual friend introduced Jeff to Craig Cessna and the two hit it off immediately. Jeff's favorite Trigger Happy song is Open Road. Why? Because he thinks it's a great song for bikers and strippers. Ron Haworth - Bass and Backing Vocals Ron is the product of a very musical family and he started learning piano when he was four years old. His piano teacher suspected that Ron was playing his lessons by ear instead of reading sheet music, so during one recital she asked him to sight read some new music... and Ron was busted. Shortly after that, Ron turned to playing bass guitar and was heavily influenced by bands like Iron Maiden, Rush and The Who. Since high school, Ron bounced from band to band looking for the right fit. At one time he played in a side project with Peter Klett of Candlebox, but quit the band when it seemed like they were going nowhere... only to find out later that the band was signed. in the early 2000's, Ron met Craig Cessna when they both played in Daily Jones but they lost touch after the band split up. Years later, Craig found Ron on Facebook and convinced him to join a new project that needed a kick a** bass player who could sing back up harmonies... and didn't need to read sheet music. Trigger Happy is all about giving listeners music that uplifts and energizes. Each track tells a story that people can relate to. 'Lectric Dream is a song about breaking free from the bonds of everyday life and living the rockstar dream. As the lyrics proclaim, "Behind the desk is not for me. I just can't do the nine-to-five. There's no where else I'd rather be then up here coming at you live." Sh*t Goin' On could be considered the "single guy's anthem". This song let's you live vicariously through one man's adventure into the world of clubbing. "My sense of style, it's automatic. The other guys at the club they wish they had it. They step aside while I dominate." Although it would be easy to take these lyrics seriously, they're really meant to be fun and humorous. Because if you think about it, we've ALL got the Sh*t Goin' On! Open Road is the ultimate "screw this, I'm getting the hell out of Dodge" song. Full of strong guitar riffs and heavy bass and drum accents, the music is destined to become a road trip classic. "And when I need to find the answers to the questions that I ask myself I know that it's time to hit the road." Catchin' the Wave is a song about striving for your potential and reaching your dreams. "I can't deny the voices calling out to me to step up, take it all the way." It's got a strong, simple riff that gets you pumped up to seize the day.
