About the Music There's a whole world of great music out there, so what does Q have to offer? Fans of our music (affectionally known as 'Q-ites'!) describe it as "epic", "uplifting" and "intimate". They love the sheer variety of our songs, from the theatrical opening of Behind the Curtain, to the vintage U2-esque Staring at the Sun; and from the electronically produced Breathe, to the heartfelt rock ballad, Angel. Lyrically, we prefer to weave poetry into our rock riffs (so not too many rock and roll cliches here). And our broad sound reflects our love of discovering great music - old and new - from all genres (classical, jazz, rock, R&B, hip-hop and even pop - hey, good music is good music!) About the Band Q was founded in 2005 and currently comprises J Anthony Packett (lead vocals, guitarist) and Esme Packett (vocals, synth, bass). At various points we've had a drummer and a couple of bass players but we are now back to duo-ville (so we'll most likely be mixing up our musical duties even more). Q is a proudly do-it-yourself band, writing, recording, mixing, mastering and producing all our own videos. It's hard work but we love it! The thing we love most about creating music is the chance to share it with our community of Q-ites. We run a monthly mailing list through which we give out free digital versions of our tracks, as well as keeping our beloved Q-ites up-to-date with our progress. We're all in it together, so who knows where this craziness will take us?!
