Chasing away the mice and tryin to keep your head above water while you try to be true to your music and your art. Living for the times when that song comes out of your head and into the "real" world. Rockheart the band is driven by it’s songs. Influenced by a love of British Invasion bands like the Rolling Stones & The Who (and Britpop kings Oasis) plus Yanks The Byrds & Tom Petty (that little bit of country), Rockheart has developed a sound some say reminiscent of the Velvet Underground. We say relax and listen. Core band members Norman “Storm” Sly and Susan Collins Sly have been playing together since 1996 when guitarist/songwriter Sly picked Susan up in a taxi in Monterey, CA. He was looking for a drummer and she fell in love with the songs (and later the songwriter) and was inspired to write songs as well.
