简介
2015 has been a transformative year for Tara Carragher. It began with her selection as one of twenty singer/songwriters from Australia and New Zealand to travel to the Tamworth Country Music Festival and take part in the CMAA's prestigious Country Music Academy. The week before she attended, her father John was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour and the family was told he had an average of eighteen months to live. The impact this news had is immense, Tara withdrew from studying a degree in Psychology to spend time with family and threw herself into work as a full time songwriter. Her output has been prolific. "Dad's illness made me realise what really matters. Loving the people close to you while you have them and pursuing what makes you happy." She is doing exactly that and 2015 concludes with the single release of some of Tara's best work to date, a song for her father called 'Wicked World'. Her forthcoming EP promises to be a collection of raw, gutsy and powerful music. It will be Tara's third release, joining the ranks of 2011's Live and Die By Love which featured collaborations with American artists such as award winning New Mexican musician CW Ayon and highly respected guitarist CR Humphrey from the Mississippi blues duo, Old Gray Mule and 2012's 'Big River Crossing', recorded in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
