Finnish-born singer songwriter Laurie K writes about life around hardship and struggle, love and achievement. With piano as the key element to her music she touches with her heartfelt lyrics and harmonies, and she plays all her instruments herself. As Laurie K grew up in the country with much of the year being dark and cold, her music can be seen very "Scandinavian" and dark in tone, but she believes the songs come as she feels. She always found songwriting to be the way to keep a diary and she continues to write and record, although now based in beautiful Malibu, California.
