The Hat Thief is a collection of 9 original songs which I have been working on for over a year and a half. The tracking was completed with Alex Moore at Lunchroom Audio in Buda, TX and includes some fantastic musicians such as David Jellema on cornet and clarinet and Western Swing hall of famer Jake Erwin on bass. At this point I am ready to mix the album at EAR Studio in Austin with famed producer Billy Lee Myers formerly of Austin City Limits and complete production with mastering and replication. The album will contain a variety of sounds and styles with old-timey swing and country blues being the predominant musical themes encompassing the work as a whole.
