This is an album of original music, with the exception of a funky big band style arrangement of the Herbie Hancock classic, Watermelon man. The album has many styles including Latin, Jazz and Funk, and the predominant feature is the sublime piano playing of Wayne Brown. Wayne has been compared on several occasions to the great Ramsey lewis, but he is also inspired by many others including Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson and George Duke to name but a few.Wayne has collaborated with a divers array of artists as a writer and producer including Billy Ocean, Stevie Winwood, Jonathan butler,Ruby Turner,Lulu and Junior to name but a few. This album gives us an insight into the personal musical prowess of Wayne, highlighting his great arrangement, production and performance skills. A true gem for any music connoisseurs collection.
