Silent Generation is a indie dream-pop band based out of Long Beach, California. The primary imagineer James Killington once fronted the acclaimed indie rock band "The Killingtons." His music with The Killingtons has been featured on hit television shows such as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Roswell," "MTV Road Rules" and "The Real World." Between the late 90's to 2005 The Killingtons toured the continental U.S. sharing the stage with such reputable artist as The Killers, Sonic Youth, At the Drive-In, Jimmy Eat World, Sense Field, Fuel, Maroon 5 and many many others. In late 2005 James formed "The Secret 6" with Jon Sacks who at the time was turning heads locally with his unique versatile technic of drumming. They later brought aboard bassist/songwriter Shannon Madison who helped to fine tune their songs . The Secret 6 first single "Give In" off their 2008 debut release "Close Enemies" was picked up for use in the film and for the soundtrack "Penelope," featuring Christin Ricci and Katherine O'hara. Their debut album also caught the ear of producer/radio pioneer, Christian James Hand (The Sound 100.3 FM) who remixed the single "After Hours." Christian Hand went on to produce 2 additional songs for The Secret 6's sophomore album "Singles for Singles." Both of his productions "Breaking Down" and "The Ghost," made it on the World Famous KROQ's Locals Only Show w/ Kat Corbett before the band dissolved in 2012. After a momentary break, Shannon, James and Jon rekindled their musical bond and began writing songs again. To help find their direction, the group recruited guitarist/singer-songwriter Brian Derose, who years before fronted the band "I.Me.Mine," with Shannon and briefly managed The Killingtons during their beginning stages. Brian's conceptual ideas and insight on the technological advances in music gear, breathed new life in their songwriting process and added a dimension futuristic digital bliss. In 2013 the "Silent Generation" formed but it wasn't until December of 2015 that they decided to reveal their sound and release it to the world with their first single "Digital Friends."
