Fishead Band released in August 2012 the first independent album, called Green Hope, after two years of massive work, from compositions until mastering, including the art design material. The eight selected tracks to this project feature a fusion of rock and lyrics dealing with environmental issues and inspirational messages. Recorded at A Voz do Brasil, Sao Paulo, the album was mastered at Sterling Sound Studio, New York, by UE Nastasi. GREEN HOPE IN 8 TRACKS The album`s title song, Green Hope, talks about the current problems as a result of the environment destruction. Young people still have a little hope in their future, but we essentially need to give attention to our nature, find clever ways to live in harmony with the nature, respecting and saving the planet. Breathing for Help creates an alert for the impacts of population growth and increased standards of living. Fishead describes the history behind the recording process for the band members, their values and obstacles faced. The Cure is about a man’s challenge into the dark, his fears and answers. Dog n’ Bone is an instrumental song returning to the band creation days. Fight for Freedom is a song to support all kind of movement against any way of oppression, supporting people to fight against it. Red Harpoons claims against the terror of whaling in the oceans, and Walking to the Light shows a way to reach an objective using the faith. THE BAND In December 2009, Danilo Martins (guitars and vocals) and Rodrigo Kusayama (drums), during their last year in the Music University, were stimulated to compose a song as their final exam to get graduated. In front of their biggest challenge ever, the two musicians invited Alexandre Avila (bass) to compose their first song, an instrumental song called Dog n’ Bone, to be presented in front of the examiners. After the excellent feedback received from them, the 3 guys officially formed the Fishead band, starting the composing process with lyrics by early 2010. THE MEMBERS Danilo Martins, well-know as Redbill, started his music studies at 12 years old, when he got the first electric guitar as a gift from his brother. After a few years studying alone, he needed theory lessons and improvements in electric guitar techniques, starting his studies in a music school. Right after he was promoted to music teacher and the hobby become a job. Today, Redbill is graduated Music Bachelor by Faculdade Santa Cecília (FASC) and own a Music School, called Redbill. Alexandre Ávila formed his first band in 1996, influenced by the Seatle Grunge bands. His musical development came mainly by practical experience, playing in some band with Danilo Martins. Avila’s bass players influences are: Flea, Tim Commerford, Justin Chancellor, Les Claypool, Billy Sheehan e Stefan Lessard. Rodrigo Kusayama had his first contact with a drum at 14 years old, playing Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera covers. At 16 years old, he started music lessons and right after, joined the Music University with Danilo. As a Music Bachelor, Rodrigo teaches at Redbill and develop workshops.
