Angel on Your Shoulder is a song about having hope after being diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s no secret how scary this disease is. Most people know someone who has it or has had it. The statistics state that one in eight women develop invasive breast cancer at some point in their lifetime! Although treatment advances have decreased mortality rates, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. We are doing what we can through our music to promote this important cause. Angel on Your Shoulder is a preview of our new music which is a definite departure from our previous release. Our second record, Reflection, was described in the San Diego Troubadour as "a mixed bag; it isn’t mellow acoustic stuff and it’s different from a lot of the music out there. Folks who like rock that isn’t intrusive or aggressive will find that Otoscope has made some interesting music that is definitely worth a listen." Although our new music is definitely in a more assertive vein, it still maintains all the conscious and melodic elements that our fans have come to expect and rely on.
