简介

Almost 30 years ago some guys had a band. They practiced in a rented storage space and they played out a lot. People liked to come see them and begged them for a “tape” because that’s what people listened to back then. So they made a tape. An entire album. They wrote new songs for it and everything. It wasn’t bad, considering the prehistoric equipment they recorded with. Fast forward to 2013. The band decided they should gather from the corners of the globe and play a show together again in their old university town. They figured it would be great if they had the old album to sell or maybe at least give away at the show. But since people don’t listen to tapes anymore, the thing had to be back to the futured into the digital age. A Kickstarter campaign was successfully waged to raise funds for studio time. The show was a success. They pulled in an audience and they sounded great. They even wrote new songs. But the album wasn’t there. It turns out, having one last shot to make that record of that piece of their lives finally sound right was a far bigger deal to the guys than they originally admitted to themselves. Present day. You are finally holding in your hands the product of that OCD spasm. No shattering reboot changes here, no new parts were added (well, except for drums), and the guys put no post turn of the century effects into the mix. The goal was to use modern space age gizmos to bring out warm vocal textures and shiny guitars as they were originally intended. So put this on, close your eyes, and travel back to a shed in the 1980’s. Start clapping your hands really hard and believe, and you’ll actually be able to see the guys. Three guys totally convinced they are the next big thing, playing their hearts out.
