I wrote "Lauren's Song" for my girlfriend, Lauren Conklin (a fiddler). I began writing in January '14 and finished in Mid-February '14. In the piece, I combined many of her favorite styles of music, as well as her favorite scales and runs. Lauren was classically trained growing up, but is now a bluegrass/country fiddle player, so I tried to incorporate elements of both styles in the piece. If you like Soundtrack music, you will probably like "Lauren's Song". I am a big fan of movie music, and I do not like when a piece just piddles around doing nothing (I'm talking to you, Mozart!) :) I hope you enjoy "Lauren's Song"!
