简介

The Story: Last year, the girl pop group, Pink Army was invited to be the entertainment at Lollipop Theater Network’s Annual Game Day event at Nickelodeon Studios. While at the event, the group met several young hospital patients who shared their story of how the organization had made a difference in their lives. Shortly after, the girls volunteered to perform a mini set for the children confined to the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. The event began with the hospitalized children getting “made up” for a mini red carpet appearance and then a concert by Pink Army. The cast of Victorious joined the kids in the short dance party. The kids, several of them holding their IVs, danced and laughed to the music. The concert was cut short so the patients could rest, but not before the Pink Army girls were able to hear from the kids and listen to their hopes and dreams. That day was an inspiration to Pink Army. They saw the impact that Lollipop Theater Network made on the hospitalized children who were so eager to have a moment to enjoy themselves. The band’s members, Alicia Randolph and Charisma Kain, immediately began contacting their closest circle of young artists for ideas to raise money for this charity. The Result: “The Stars Will Shine” was written especially for the Lollipop Theater Network. Many young up-and-coming artists joined together and put in many hours to record the song and video. Steven Wetherbee and Blake LaGrange of Golden Track Studios co-wrote the song (with Alicia Randolph, Charisma Kain, and rap by Justice Lucero of MoZaik), produced, engineered, and donated the studio for the recording. Video producer Roger Hayes donated his time and equipment to create a video of the making of this song. All artists, producers, managers, and parents donated their time for this project. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the songs will go directly to the Lollipop Theater Network. This charity brings first-run movies and their stars into the hospitals to the children who are confined to a long-term stay. Their Rhythm of Hope program brings musicians into the hospitals to write and record songs with the young patients. Participating Hospitals include UCLA Mattel’s Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, and Children’s Hospital of New York, Nashville, and more. Please help us support this charity by purchasing the song on iTunes.
