2005 saw the release of Nerd Ferguson's debut "Alright Already!!!" (under the alias S.T.L.) and he'd go six years before releasing another solo project. In 2011, he released not one, but THREE full length LP's: "Unhappy Hour", "Happy Hour" and "The Hangover Part 1". All were released digitally through his website www.nerdferg.com. 2012 saw his fourth release in less than 12 months (fifth overall) "B**ch, Where's My Sandwich: The Album", which was met with acclaim from critics and fans alike. "Gunshots & Twizzlers" marks his sixth solo release and bumps his average release schedule to three albums per year. Nice. Production on this album is handled by the same team that has produced the bulk of his previous releases (Lee Treble, Pat Preezy, and Nerd himself), though a lot of new sounds are explored. Everything from trap, EDM, pop rock, soul and even traces of Dubstep are present. Frequent collaborator DeFakto and newfound partner Taeiom appear on the album, as does Nerd's younger sister Julee. Nerd's older brother Mike "D-vine" Harris provides the production for "Bright Lights", bringing the three siblings together for one song. Though not thematically connected, "Gunshots & Twizzlers" is the second is a series of releases that will culminate with a new album next year.
